Originally from Hunan, China, Jué has moved to London in the summer of 2007, at the tender age of 15 to pursue her studies in Ealing, West London.

Having studied at Cardinal Wiseman RC Art & Design school as well as Architecture at Edinburgh University in Scotland, her art has taken many forms, from painting and fine art sketches to beautiful, even haunting photographs she’s presently developing.

Not necessarily comfortable with using other artists/photographers as an inspiration, Jué’s practical works are based on her life experience as well as personal emotion, always trying to achieve her own unique take on the subject. This resulted in beautiful, eerie photographs instantly recognisable due to a very personal style of work.

She finds photographic, emotive portraiture to be the easiest and most concise form of communication and the human form a rich arena in which to explore and express emotion, challenge and intention. Much of her work focuses on humanity and the environment and the delicate balance between the two.
